Congenital heart disease is a multifactorial genetic disease, while the genetic factors play a very important role in it. In the aspect of environmental factors, it may be between the fourth week to eighth week during the mother's pregnancy, which is the key process for the fetal's heart development. When the mother is infected by viruses, the fetal's normal heart growth is interfered, therefore it leads to congenital heart disease. The virus infections generally include the risk of rubella, mumps, influenza, etc., as well as the lack of nutrition, taking teratogenic drugs, exposure to radiation and environmental pollution.
