Primary cardiomyopathy is a group of heart disease mainly with cardiomyopathy without clear causes. The disease is divided into three types:

(1) dilated cardiomyopathy: This type is characterized by left or right or bilateral ventricular enlargement, accompanied by cardiac hypertrophy, ventricular systolic dysfunction, with or without congestive heart failure. Among which arrhythmia is more common . The disease condition is progressively aggravated. While death could occur at any stage of the disease. This type is the most common, accounting for 70% ~ 80%.

(2) hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: It is characterized by ventricular hypertrophy, typically in the left ventricle, particularly interventricular septum, occasionally concentric hypertrophy. The left ventricular capacity is normal or reduced, and occasionally lesions occurred in the right ventricle, usually autosomal dominant inheritance. This type is also common, accounting for about 10% ~ 20%.

(3) restrictive cardiomyopathy: This type is characterized by the invasion of primary cardiac or non-invasive lesion, or myocardial endocardial fibrosis, induce the diastolic dysfunction of cardiac filling obstruction, which is very rare.

Causes:

1. Dilated cardiomyopathy
(1) The immunoreaction theory of viral infection holds that myocardiosis is caused by the autoimmune myocardial injury occurred after virus infection, which is the major incidence theory of dilated cardiomyopathy.
(2) The myocardial lesions of small coronary artery branches causing cramps and obstruction induced.
(3) Some cases of the lack of certain enzymes during myocardial metabolism may also be one of its mechanism.
(4) Part cases of the disease are related to nutritional disturbance, such as the lack of trace element selenium in food may cause myocardial changes.

2. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is considered to be associated with heredity.

3. Restrictive cardiomyopathy etiology is still unknown.
