As a result of the pathological change of cardiac valve, it causes the heart to have problems during the process of carrying blood flow, such as valvular stenosis makes the resistance of blood stream increased. In order to input and output enough blood stream, the heart has to diastole and compression with more efforts. It causes the heart's working strength to enlarge and the efficiency to reduce. The heart is easy to be weary. Gradually it creates the cardiomegalia. When the mitral stenosis to a certain degree, because of the increase of the left atrium pressure, it leads to the raising up pressure of the pulmonary vein and lung blood capillary. It forms the pulmonary venous pleonaemia. It is easy to cause the following symptom after pulmonary venous pleonaemia. 1. dyspnoea  2. cough   3. hemoptysis; sometimes it occurs hoarse voice and dysphagia.

When cardiac valves closure not entirely, the first question it brings is the partial blood backstreaming. The immediate consequence of the back-streaming is to cause the heart pressure to raise up, blood volume to reduce. Its result is to have the partial loss result from the gaseous interchange during the circulation, therefore rheumatic heart disease patients often feel dyspnoea.
